Cows win.

I’m taking an illustration workshop class that is taught by three illustrators and we are are our third and last, Mr. Daniel Bejar. Daniel is a very personable and funny guy. Although I dislike editorial illustration, on the basis that I don’t think of myself being as strong with metaphors as I would like, I want to do good for Daniel.
This piece was to illustrate an article about how humans are altering bovine DNA to produce what we would consider super cows. I landed on chess to show how domestic cattle are just our pawns until we can win with our king of a cow.

This is my favorite piece from fall semester. It’s a painting I did of Romeo & Juliet, which I turn into a show poster. I painted it with acrylic and did the type in Adobe Illustrator.
